I wonder if NK might give BDL a shot 3-4 weekly with F9 out of PVD. It would be far enough not to harm their BOS and EWR service and has its own broad catchment area. Plus they have would have some connections on the MSY end to fill seats. I would say it would be a long shot, there are other cities...

Still quite a bit of slack for DL even with 5 leased gates. DL averages 26-28 flights/day depending on time of year. Is AA going to open a club that BA passengers will be able to use? Probably not. AA doesn't base its clubs on (just) total traffic, but total traffic with a high percentage of AAdvantage elites, which MSY doesn't really have. To cancel on such short notice, it may be equipment or crew related. If that particular flight was operated by a 789 it was probably an engine issue with no 788 available to swap. I'm still struggling to see how this international terminal is going to look. The plans are a bit deceiving showing planes lined up parallel to main terminal building but does not show a concourse out to them? I guess we will just have to wait and see?

Fun fact about the CUN flight that I've noticed. They actually are setting it up for connections. A quick search from HOUCUN/BNACUN/etc has the MSY flight arriving earlier than any of the others (including the nonstop). That could work out really well for those wanting to be in CUN earlier in the day!

I think Asia is very far off. I agree with the ten year time span. However, just keep in mind that's not much different than how long we were working on BA service. BNA has a very long way to catch up to MSY, so I do not see them as being "satisfied". It's a great city that I love to visit...

I'm probably the only person who thinks it's only AM to MEX. I do not see it being anything else as of yet. AM has been in talks for quite some time with MSY and they've been here before. I see it being a 4-5x a week on a 190. Just my opinion. Honestly, a DL E175 or even CRJ700/900 would be better ...
