LCY is good for the business travelers and whoever wants to get to the city center quickly. LHR is good for most BA and OW connections LGW offers limited connections to vacation destinations and I don't really see the demand for a fourth London airport to get served. LGW is a bit like ORY in my view...Jump to post
On a FRA-DFW flight I had a nice older lady sitting next to me who was going to Austin to visit her daughter that had moved there a few years ago. I took a few pictures of Greenland for her when we were flying over, we talked a bit about traveling and cultural differences and it was just super nice....Jump to post
It was just announced that Germania ceases operations with immediate effect and files for insolvency.
Very sad to see this airline disappear.
The FRA operation will also be affected
Now I'm regretting my decision a bit to have opted for KU instead of TUA last year for my FRA-BKK routing. Who knows if it'll come back
Short after MF started their AMS service I booked a super cheap flight with them on a AMS-XMN-HKG and TSA-XMN-AMS routing. Before the flight it was very unclear how exactly the transit was going to work because I got different informations on either having to clear customs and immigration or not and...Jump to post
It's quite impressive how the Venezuelan government managed to ruin their own country despite having the largest oil reserves in the world. CCS could be a prosperous hub connecting South and Central America to Europe and the Middle East just like IKA could have the role of DXB if certain political d...Jump to post
United dropping their name will happen the day that American Airlines is rebranding as Eastern West Virginia Airlines and moves its hubs to Pyongyang, Ulaan Batar and Novosibirsk.Jump to post
Is Air Italy becoming the next failing example of a Gulf carrier expanding? I was a bit surprised that they would do a global expansion before building up a European network and it seems to backfire already although they might have realized that early enough. Going to be interesting how they restruc...Jump to post
It's the mixture of different classes that makes those routes profitable in the first place and it also offers lots of connection for each class. Otherwise economy and business class passengers would have a significantly smaller pool of flights they could choose from.Jump to post

Basically all Russian airlines except for S7 do. SU, DP and a couple of others have one side with Russian writing and one with English. Ukraine International Airlines had their name written in Ukrainian underneath the English writing on the fuselage. LY uses English and Hebrew EY, EK, AT, MS, GF and...Jump to post
I was wondering what kind of special meals you've already had and what your experiences and preferences are. What airlines have the best offers and which special meals do you remember positively or negatively? I've had my first and only special meal experience last year on a DL DUS-ATL flight. I req...Jump to post
Luckily I can't remember any horrible direct seat neighbor but I've encountered a few very weird ones sitting closer than I would have liked. Last September on an AA71 flight from FRA to DFW there was a guy sitting in front of me who collected all his trash next to his seat and it kept falling into ...Jump to post

This passenger was clearly not looking for actual help but just used his condition to torment and abuse the flight attendant.
It's absolutely unacceptable behavior
Considering the difficulty to ever get a Turkmen visa it's not really O/D traffic they're aiming at except for the little Turkmen community abroad. Most passengers will connect at ASB. Last year I also had the option to take TUA on FRA-ASB-BKK-ASB-FRA but went for KU via KWI instead. On their German...Jump to post
I was one of the affected passengers. My FR flight to AGP was moved from CGN to NRN. Ryanair sent me an email about the changed departure airport and the new schedule. A shuttle bus from CGN to NRN was offered and even though there was a bit of room for improvement, I was quite positively surprised ...Jump to post

I can highly recommend Penang and Kuala Lumpur. Although both are in Malaysia they have a very different vibe. In KL you can enjoy some super good street food on Jalan Alor and you should go up the KL tower.
Malaysia was my first country to visit in Asia and I always love to go back.
EL AL's marketing also emphasizes that they do not fly over any country that is hostile to Israel so I'm not too sure if they would want to take a route over KSA even if they could. There's probably some loyal EL AL passengers that would not be too happy to be in Saudi airspace. Doesn't mean that th...Jump to post
Not a good idea
They seem to work well in their small shorthaul market and just started a cooperation with Ryanair and starting longhaul flights would just mess things up
So, German Chancellor Angela Merkel was on her way to the G20 summit earlier today but due to a technical issue her A340-300 had to divert to CGN, which is also the HQ of the governmental fleet. Apparently, she's spending the night in my hometown now and will continue her journey to Buenos Aires tom...Jump to post
