What causes people to make a post like this? Is your interest in aviation restricted to 737s and A320s?

Re: Should AS look at at East Coast hub

Nothing ideal, but yes, AS has a HUGE gap in their route network, all on the East Coast. It isn’t a gap. AS has proclaimed themselves to be a west coast airline. They serve east coast cities for their west coast customers, not vice versa. Saying there’s a huge gap in their network on the east coast...

Re: How much trouble is Alaska Air in?

The same was said about pretty much any airline merger. They're doing just fine...fares are lower due to over capacity in many markets and that will eventually level out. AS wants to be a major player out of CA to the midwest and east coast but knows they will never carry numbers like they pull out...

Re: How much trouble is Alaska Air in?

Never thought I’d see the day when an airline made a 20% margin in a quarter and everyone was unhappy about it. If this were the 2000s they’d be spraying themselves with champagne. Fuel affects everyone, integration is expensive, and fare wars come and go. AS is still widely profitable, so everyone ...

[ Also, Pratt and Honeywell are only “punished” if the Delta order is cancelled. Anything else is total bloated speculation on your part. Who are you kdn, with a 300% duty and all this uncertainty, US market for the Cseries is essentially dead. There never was a US market beyond DL! B and A have ma...
