AA couldn't make ORD-PVG/PEK work but yet her were are with DTW-PEK/PVG thriving. AA ended ORD-PVG/PEK because there was way too much competition (from Hainan, United, etc.). DTW-PEK/PVG has no competition at all. It's just Delta. Correct like ORD is over saturated with low fares in many markets DT...

In my experience with using FR24, CRJ2s, CRJ7s and B717s almost never show up while taxiing--and then they'll just appear adjacent to the airport as if it had just taken off from the runway.

I’m rather surprised by the DL BOI-LAX add. Although it is a nice option. Still wish Alaska would bring the route back. Apparently Allegiant is going three times a week at least for summer. I think the oddballs in this case for DL are clearly NRT-HNL and NRT-PDX. I don't think HND-HNL would work because the Honolulu-Tokyo market is already really saturated. Both LAX and IAH to SYD will get trim for Northern Summer season eff March 29 till end of Oct. LAX-SYD becomes 3x weekly, and IAH-SYD 4x weekly. Yes they did. 3x weekly summer seasonal, started in June and ended in August.
With that being said, that route was initially announced in March of last year, so there's still a chance that they could add it once again this year when March rolls around...

I think we will continue to see SY try a number of unserved routes from PDX . PDX-MIA/TPA/MSY/IND/PIT/CLE/CMH/RDU/MKE come to mind. Also wouldn’t be surprised to see them try PDX-CUN/PVR/SJD in the winter months. PDX-MIA/TPA seem like perfect SY routes. However, I think they would need to try PDX-M...

SEA-HKG was a marginal route, and they don't have the right kind of aircraft for it.
