Did you go to the gift store? They used to have the best vintage stuff there and cheap. I bought a Western Airlines cup & saucer for $3. The gift store used to be inside part of an L-1011.

I've heard the reason why US went all Airbus was the crash of USAir 427. There was some animosity between USAir mgmt & Boeing regarding the crash.

I remember AA used to serve a personal pan pizza as the arrival snack. I had it on CDG-JFK in 2001 on a 762 and the daytime BOS-LHR on a 772 in 2006.

DL last flew JFK-NRT on the 744, and cut it as they started dismantling connecting traffic out of NRT. Am prepared to be wrong here but haven't DL operated JFK-NRT more recently with a 777? As in within the last year or so? I live near JFK and am sure I've seen a 777 heading to NRT, maybe a 12.30pm...

I remember flying STL-PIT on a US Airways DC-9 in 2000. The Captain retired when we landed in Pittsburgh. His family was onboard. The son passed out donuts to all the passengers. We got a water cannon solute on arrival. There was a group of flight attendant trainees onboard doing a training flight.

For an example lets say a DFW-HKG trip is worth 30 hours of pay total. Even at a new hire rate of $27/hr and paying $200 for the trip, the FA would still make about $600 for the trip.
