I have no first hand knowledge of how the civilian world does their maintenance documentation. Do you guys not make a writeup when cowl doors are opened? I know Uncle Sam can be very anal, but I don't see a problem writing up cowl doors, as a fail to close properly is a big deal.

Not too surprised about the C-5As. Once again lots of money was thrown away AMP modding a bunch of A models, and then tossing them away. Many AFR and ANG guys are going to get pink slips.... Dover never had a real chance of getting the C-130 AMP mod. That was some AMP mod team generated rumor. Lockmart would never do the mod at a non C-130 base.
