AA announced the 757s will be stored and could return to service if demand recovers faster than expected. A few might be officially retired/scrapped but most will be in long-term storage. Does that apply to both the LAA and LUS 757s? The statement I saw did not differentiate between LUS and LAA. N1...Jump to post

Some of the comments on that NYT comment board are pretty disgusting. I would rephrase this as "a lot of passengers hate AA and it shows in the NYT comments, there must be a reason for this". This is a great occasion for them to return their 737 Max, as part of a fleet streamlining. But I...Jump to post
Looks like they’re starting to park E190s as well as wide bodies and B752s at ROW. So the E190s were supposed to be retired at the end of this summer (likely Q3 2020). But then their lives were recently extended beyond that due to the MAX grounding and A321neo delays. Should be interesting to see i...Jump to post
planecane wrote:What is the delivery schedule for the 788s from the last order?
I think the bigger issue is AA failed to properly update and maintain their 763 fleet. UA and DL have many 763 that are as old as AA's and yet they have no issues continuing to fly them. Is Tom Horton at fault for failing to perform adequate maintenance on the 763 fleet or was the current situation...Jump to post

Per JonNYC, it has been getting a heavy maintenance check.
Is there an anticipated delivery date for AA's first new B787-8, N870AX? Is there a schedule for deliveries for this fleet type for this year? I'm interested in this as well. It seems like at least a few of the new batch will need to be operational by June in order to cover the currently scheduled ...Jump to post
Any updates on what's going on with that last 319 from Frontier? Flying yet? After nearly a month of prep at CLT, the 8th ex-Frontier A319, N775XF is going into service today, Feb 12, heading to DCA. That's the last one from Frontier, right? So now we can safely say that all ex-Frontier 319 have go...Jump to post
What is irritating is the lack of standard configurations on all aircraft. PHX to BDL thru PHL was on A321's no seat power no screens. BDL to CLT was a 737-800 and had seat power ports both 110 and USB. It also had seat back screens. CLT to PHX A321 with no power and no screens. No excuse for this ...Jump to post
AAs next A321NEO, N415AN is making it's delivery flight to TUL, on flt# AAL9707, now...Feb. 6. So is PIT not doing the deliveries anymore? Bummer if that's the case... :( Edit: I guess the XFW built ones will still go through PIT since it can make it nonstop there on the ferry flight. Perhaps there...Jump to post
T1 is a newly rebuilt domestic terminal. AA frequently flies 788 to SFO from ORD, DFW and lately PHL. AA occasionally flies 772 into SFO for special purposes...such as Superbowls. To my knowledge, AA doesn't fly any international out of SFO. Is AA operating the 788 on PHL-SFO? I thought it was just...Jump to post
AA A321NEO N415AN made it's first flight today, Jan 28 at BFM. Inquiring minds wonder why N408AN, delivered to TUL on 1-4 hasn't been placed in revenue service. N414AL (MSN 9359) also had a second flight at BFM today. (CAF?) Appears that 9359 and MSN 9374 are flipping registration numbers. 9374 was...Jump to post
This may be a little off-topic, but where is AA coming up with all the planes for these new longhaul flights? Per the last plan, the number of widebodies was staying pretty consistent for 2020 balancing out deliveries against planned retirements. What's being cancelled to free up all these new flig...Jump to post

How many B767-300s are left? I read somewhere about several being retired in late 2019. Anyone knows the current headcount and the upcoming retirement projections? Thanks! I count 17 B767-300s remaining. Have seen no update to when these will be retired....perhaps as the B-788s arrive, starting thi...Jump to post
A21N N408AN scheduled to ferry XFW-PIT-TUL on Saturday for delivery and induction. https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/AA9707 Any idea why 408 is planned to go directly to Tulsa after clearing customs in Pittsburgh? Just a guess, but with AA receiving quite a number more A321NEOs in 2020 (20...Jump to post
One potential item to add to the list at the top, additional used A319s are expected this year and/or next? I recall the rumor about the Alaska frames (up to 10?) but don't know if there are any other used frames that AA has its eyes on out there? Also, how many 788s are expected this year from the...Jump to post

A21N N408AN had a CAF today at XFW. Let’s see if it and N410AN (which already had a CAF) are delivered simultaneously to PIT this week. I'd guess on Monday or Tuesday for both aircraft, so AB can fulfill the commitment of 12 deliveries in 2019, and so AB can show the deliveries on it's books for 20...Jump to post
