Looks like it couldn't get off the ground. Tragic.

Hi NearMiss! Great debut on the forum and congrats on your first TR! Wonderful pictures of Pucón and environs. They brought back fond memories of my last visit there some years ago. Nice pictures also from the termas geométricas - and those nalcas... And the terminal Here's a general view from Arau...

Re: Sky Airline Flight 051. Vacations in the south of Chile!

And now, the final part of this Trip Report. So, to go back to Santiago I, again, went with Sky Airline. And my plane was, again, CC-AFX. We even got the same pilot, though not the same cabin crew and first officer. Here's a general view from Araucanía International Airport https://c4.staticflickr.c...

Re: Sky Airline Flight 051. Vacations in the south of Chile!

So, FINALLY, after a massive computer crash (had to buy a new one actually, almost US $1200. Ouch) I can upload the rest of the pictures. I'll be uploading some pictures from Pucón itself so you can get a full picture of how beautiful a place it is. So, here goes. To go from Temuco to Pucón you need...

Nice TR, also great to read from such lessor known airlines... BTW. is SKY Chile now an Ultra-low-cost-carrier?! I flew SKY in 2013 and it was anything but ULCC. We received full meals on both SCL-PMC and PMC-PUQ...all at half the cost of LA Hey guys. Took me a long time to come back to complete th...

Sky Airline Flight 051. Vacations in the south of Chile!

Hey guys. So, this would be my first trip report of (hopefully) many more to come. We took a one week vacation with my girlfriend last week and went to Pucón, in Chile's southern part. It's a beautiful small town near the Villarrica Volcano. So first we had to fly from Santiago to Temuco and then ca...

Green light for Qatar Airways' stake purchase in Latam Airlines

Now they only have to exercise their purchase rights on 10% of the company. Seems like a pretty good deal for both players.

Re: Pondering Oneworld without Air Berlin

The entering of Air Berlin was too much of a risk on a market dominated by Lufthansa and affiliates. Add to that the really weird decisions taken by their management, like buying Niki or Belair and the mix is very volatile, and is now blowing up. Sad, I think they offer a nice service, but they just...

That was nice! Regarding the "Ladies only" toilets, I recall some long distance coaches in Mexico also having both men and ladies only toilets. Must be a society thing, which I find rather nice, but yeah, a bit uncomfortable on a plane

There are several reports on Skytrax of passangers complaining of cigarette smoke smell emanating from the cockpit. One suggested that If you do a Google it appears that smoking in the cockpit is a common occurrence by pilots on EgyptAir. http://www.airlinequality.com/airline-reviews/egyptair/page/...

So, maybe they'll get a 787-9 or even wait a bit for the 787-10. Or they could buy a second hand 77W once a low cycle one comes up on the market.

Is the A350 out of contest?

Re: American A320 loses engine cowl

I've noticed it happens a lot on older models as well. This isn't an isolated incident to former HP frames, which are some of the eldest A320s, but it must not be too serious if it has been going on this long and nothing major has happened as a result. The obvious right thing to do is to divert (ca...

Re: Iran - Boeing deal 100plus a/c

I know Iran is a beautiful country and it could be a very attractive tourist destination, but do they really have that much air traffic to order more than 200 planes all of a sudden?

Anyway, nice to see another country improving his air fleets and infrastracture ;)
