I think the US-Thai market is pretty low yielding, which is way they stopped LAX. I hope they will start YVR though!

Im not that surprised, i think the majority of Germans, especially in FRA would prefer flying the more luxurious airline, LH. LH more luxurious? Really? When did you last fly them? I have noticed UA 787 on LAX-SFO sometimes. also last year i flew DTW-LAS on a 767-300 on DL, dont know if it is still operated with that aircraft.

i think FI is doing well at IAD so i dont think BWI is on their wish list right now. BWI used to have many airlines such as LY, Air Greenland, Ghanna Air and many more, wish it would have that many INTL carriers again. the next route could maybe be DE MUC-BWI.

IIRC, SGN-LAX is the biggest unserved market from the US. also SGN-SFO is in that list, i guess BKK-LAX also have large O&D traffic.

I'm quite surprised that they are flying to MCO more often then to FLL. Correct me if im wrong but i think in the European perspective, Orlando is a bigger tourist destination than Miami area. smart move by Icelandair! kind of replaces the UA EWR-BFS and blocks WOW from entering the market. also the Q400 is the best aircraft by size to serve that market, hope they will succeed!

people tend to forget that Poland is a big country with about 40 million residents. i also think that EK should start DXB-KRK/KTW route in order to serve southern Poland.

I think the success of the LH flight can be attributed to two things - one AA is very weak in Germany and even with AB in Oneworld, LH has the bulk of business and frequent long-haul travelers. sorry but the link dosent work. and about EK, i think that pax arriving to the US tend to choose EK because its bigger in their country or for other reasons while americans flying the ME3 tend to choose QR/EY due to AAdvantage(with the exeption of TrueBlue's who might choose EK).

im not so surprised TBH. i think LH should serve MUC by its own since IAH is a smaller market than the other UA hubs and most of the pax make a connection in FRA(although connecting at MUC is way more convenient!).

i wonder why are they successful in Frankfurt, the Mongolian diaspora in Germany counts about 3800 people and im not aware of any big economic ties between Mongolia and Germany. plus Frankfurt isnt much of a tourist destination.

i usually try to pick the airline who is in the alliance i have the most miles in. but from the airlines listed above i would pick TG, they are wonderful and i think you wont have many chances of flying them if you live in the UK.
