I know that the Algerian community in Montreal is big, but i thought we would see ALG-JFK first.Jump to post
Where the hell is El Al? I flown with both Qantas and El Al and I can definitely say LY is safer! In which regard? They're both very safe airlines with records to prove it, but if you were to compare total number of fatalities then QF is safer. El Al https://aviation-safety.net/database/operator/ai...Jump to post
Wow thats a surprise, although a smart move! Many jews live in Montreal area, which generates alot of VFR traffic, but not that much corporate relations so I guess Air Transat is the perfect carrier for that route. I do wonder if AC will strike back and launch YUL-TLV with Rouge.Jump to post
I wonder if they found a better opportunity for that frame on SFO-secondary china? Not only likely, but what a fortunate circumstance to be in. As others have pointed out well, with NZ as a JV partner - via technicality, UA still serves the route daily. If it means that the overall route will see h...Jump to post
So CZ supposed to codeshare with AM? That could really boost the China-Latin America traffic!Jump to post
Sorry to be that guy, but this shows how far behind the European legacies are behind the USA ones. There is still a lot of rationalization to be done. There should probably be only 3 legacy airlines in Europe. Time to start combining nationalities. Im pretty sure most countries and people would dis...Jump to post
Why do these flights exist? 1) Korean Air between Seoul and Atlanta 2) El Al between Tel Aviv and Hong Kong 3) El Al between Tel Aviv and Bangkok 4) Garuda Indonesia between Jakarta and Amsterdam 5) Royal Jordanian between Amman and Tel Aviv 6) Lufthansa between Frankfurt and Buenos Aires 1) Presti...Jump to post
I guess there is a big chunk of auto industry pax, but at summer time you have more people traveling to Munich area(and parts of Austria and Northern Italy) for tourism and VFR. I do wonder what is the reason DTW-FRA is successful for DL(at least it looks like it), I know that FIAT and KIA have head...Jump to post
OSL: 30% ORD-OSL could work really well, especially with AA/UA/ DL all having feed from both SEA and MSP. The profits will go up, when SEA/MSP are "part of the loop". DL? They dont even do SEA-ORD. I think UA can do it, something like a summer seasonal 757 ORD-OSL, but I dont think it wil...Jump to post

Thats good to see that, but all of that LCC growth in SOF might also tell us that FB is in trouble...Jump to post

If DY will offer shuttle services between SWF and Manhattan, it will boost the number of pax on the SWF routes.Jump to post
Does anyone knows or can guess what is the most profitable long haul route of AF?Jump to post
ORD got a one-off A380 from EK, now BOS will get the same on January 26. Neither city seems 'poised' to get the A380 on a regular basis. My theory is that it wasn't Emirates who hatched the idea...it was the airport operators who 'requested' these one-off flights to 'trial' their new gate setups an...Jump to post
I have noticed that many of the French Overseas Colonies or former ones have competition on what seem as "thin routes" like CAY, TNR or SXM. I guess AF operates them due to cultural links, but why does the other carriers such as TX or SS operate them? Are they profitable?Jump to post
Why does SGF get to label itself as Springfield-Branson National Airport? Shouldn't the leaders of Branson ask that the name 'Branson' be removed from the name thereby giving their own airport more marketing potential and those that have zero clue (like myself) that Branson and Springfield are so c...Jump to post
Allegiant seems like the perfect airline for BKG but they are pretty based up in SGF. BKG is truly a waste of money...Jump to post
DL seasonal BDL-MBJ would probably fill planes, but the market is low yielding. If we talk about KIN-BDL, I think BW is the most suited for this route, but I think that Hartford is too close to JFK and I dont think they will add it in the near future.Jump to post
OK i have checked and I did not see another topic about this subject. I have noticed that Sapporo dont have direct flights to the US(excluding Hawaii) which seems pretty weird. Sapporo is a big city which could definitely support a LAX and SFO route and I think that it can even support other cities ...Jump to post
I dont know if youre aware they are both leaving the country, so did Singapore although replaced by Scoot, Cebu Pacific also left after a brief stint in Dammam, China Southern also went from Jeddah, I hope it dosent end up with only Muslim airlines from east flying there, currently Scoot and Philip...Jump to post
TLV is becoming more and more competitive. I recently did short business trip from London and the fares were the cheapest I have ever paid (in 15+ years of making the trip). Well maybe in the past the problem is that TLV was too expensive. TLV to most of Europe is not further than the Canary Island...Jump to post

I think on the domestic side, SFO-CLT is a major hole. EWR-ICN, IAD-MIA, EWR-WAW, EWR-PRG, EWR-TPE, LAX-SGN, IAD-DEL, and EWR-EZE. SFO-CLT is a major hole. Filled with bank traffic major hole. I agree. Why would anyone pick SQ over other 1 stop options between ARN-SIN unless the fare is cheaper which I doubt it will be.
