Wow thats a surprise, although a smart move! Many jews live in Montreal area, which generates alot of VFR traffic, but not that much corporate relations so I guess Air Transat is the perfect carrier for that route. I do wonder if AC will strike back and launch YUL-TLV with Rouge.

Istanbul is a very beautiful city but I dont think I will visit it anytime soon, probably many others think like me and that caused a reduction in pax numbers. BTW, do you think TK have considered adding KRK and GLA?

I think that if DL will return to HAM it would be a JFK-HAM route. Now that UA got seasonal, they are able to fill that hole.

ORD got a one-off A380 from EK, now BOS will get the same on January 26. Neither city seems 'poised' to get the A380 on a regular basis. My theory is that it wasn't Emirates who hatched the idea...it was the airport operators who 'requested' these one-off flights to 'trial' their new gate setups an...

I have noticed that many of the French Overseas Colonies or former ones have competition on what seem as "thin routes" like CAY, TNR or SXM. I guess AF operates them due to cultural links, but why does the other carriers such as TX or SS operate them? Are they profitable?

DL seasonal BDL-MBJ would probably fill planes, but the market is low yielding. If we talk about KIN-BDL, I think BW is the most suited for this route, but I think that Hartford is too close to JFK and I dont think they will add it in the near future.

TLV is becoming more and more competitive. I recently did short business trip from London and the fares were the cheapest I have ever paid (in 15+ years of making the trip). Well maybe in the past the problem is that TLV was too expensive. TLV to most of Europe is not further than the Canary Island...

If they want to add another TLV flight, it would definitel be a ORD-TLV route before IAD-TLV. it has More jewish people and i think it has more business ties with Israel than DC. Also i think seasonal EWR-AGP could work, like the DL service.

you can also put LAX-SBA/PSP in that list. thats a pretty common thing and it happens alot like KL AMS-BRU, LH FRA-DUS, all NYC-PHL flights and many more.
