RE: Need For A New 190-240 Pax Airframe?

Yes all what you have siad is true, but do you think at some stage a totally new aircraft based on 757-200 design features, would be something to look for? It seems to me that although the 757 is an excellent aircraft, and likely to remain in service for a good 20 years yet, it will have to be repla...

RE: BA To Look At 777-300

So what is the consensus of opinion?
I bet she will look wonderful in the BA livery? I see Emirates flying marker pens every day, and they look awesome....
I fervently hope Gemini Jets make a a model!

RE: AN-225 Almost Ready To Fly Again

Have they put a new glass cockpit in? It hints that theyve given her a new powerplant too, which is shame because i think the D18's sound awesome at full power: saw it at Farnborough back in the mid nineties, and have not forgotten it to this day. Took me about 10 hours to walk through the fuselage ...

RE: Your Preferred Transatlantic Flight

I loved BA LHR-BOS. (speedbird 213- 742 or a 7772igw) I flew there just before Christmas, and it was the nicest flight with the nicest airline to the nicest city in all of North America. Outstanding.

Need For A New 190-240 Pax Airframe?

I am quite surprised that noone is offering a design to replace the 757 and the early 767's. Does anyone agree with me that there is a need for a totally new 190-240 passenger capacity aircraft? I know the A321 is replacing the 757 in some airlines, and the 737-800 in others, but im talking about an...

737 Longhaul

BWIA are replacing their L1011's from LHR to the British West Indies (about a seven and a half hour flight) with 737-800's, so surely this is in even further...Actually, I know that the longest 737 flight ive heard of is Air Pacific, from Vancouver to Fiji with an ETOPS certified 737-800. Now THAT i...

What Airlines?

Hi. If you will indulge me a minute, i'd like to share with you a few ideas i have as regards the possible future orders for the A380. Firstly, I wouldnt mind betting that eventually, contrary to what they are saying now, BA will get a few. They have a number of routes that regularly fill their 744 ...

RE: Longest 747 Flight

Hiya
Correct me if im Wrong, but i think you will find that the Air New Zealand and Qantas flights from LHR/FRA/CDG direct to Australasia are the longest. I know ANZ fly direct to Auckland from London, with their 747-400, and thats got to be longest surely?

RE: UA Should Consider 777-300?

Hiya Ray! Chris Morgan here! I think the 777-300 is the ideal aircraft across the Atlantic, as BA, Air France, UA, Continental, AA and Delta all use the 777-200ER across it from various premium European destinations to both east and west coast USA. In 1998, I went on a very early UA 777-200 (no back...

BA To Look At 777-300

I have been told by a friend who works in the fleet aquisitions dept. at Speedbird House that they are looking at taking up to six new 777-300 aircraft to replace the first few of the 747 classics, as they are costing a lot more than was prviously thought to retrofit to their current fleet standard....

RE: What´s Your Favourite Airline?

My favourite airline is BA. They are just so civilised, and their business class is truly wonderful. The whole "Afternoon Tea" idea (with good Earl Gray I might add!) is just lovely. Love the service, and even their old aeroplanes are lovely. So well maintained, and you know you are always in safe h...
