RE: Mandarin Oriental Hotels, Anyone Stayed There?

I've stayed in the Mandarin Oriental in Jakarta. It certainly is one of the better hotels I've stayed in, with with large, clean, well-decorated rooms. In fact, it was a welcome oasis of cleanliness after walking around the polluted streets of Jakarta. I cannot compare with the Sheraton or Hilton as...

I actually have four currencies in my wallet.

776.29 Chinese yuan
£40
€5
US$16

Believe it or not, these is a current bank note in China worth 0.01 Yuan, which is equal to about 0.12 US cents, or 0.064 pence sterling.

The fact that we refer to the different ways chinese people speak as dialects is a little confusing. No, but very nearly for taking photos from the perimeter of Sung Shan Airport, Taipei. A truck of about 6 plain-clothed police came up. Fortunately none of them could speak english, so after confiscating the film from my camera, I think they couldn't be bothered to pursue it any further.

Have to agree with Fritzi, Marabou is good. Fazer from Finland also has excellent chocolate, as do a lot of other continental brands of which I can't recall the names.

Cadbury's is mediocre, but the worst I've ever had is Hershey's. Tastes like soap.

So what? You make it sound as though it's something bad. There's nothing wrong with communism as an ideology, it's just that there are problems implementing it in reality.

Capitalism, on the other hand, works 'well' in the real world, but ideologically is a piece of crap.
