No USA flag carrier flies from the US to East, west or southern Africa. They code share (Star Alliance, oneworld, etc). but the American flag is not seen in these further parts of Africa.

I have taken BMI several times in Europe (LHR-FCO or AMS). and I LOVE them! My experiences have been some of the best on any airline. I would take them anywhre.

I do not like SAS at all and would not take them anywhere!

NJTurnpiker - U've got it right about the Bourbon chicken. I ALWAYS take it. Have not seen it anywhere else.

I think he is refering to the USArways shuttle between terminals F and C. The big white Dulles type are for remotes parking of ac to take pax on and off.

Air Tran is flying out of terminal F. It has the shortest security lines, and in PHL that is something to brag about! The shuttle to C runs very frequently and I do not believe you have to have a USAirways ticket to take it. You travel along the tarmac by terminals B - F and the taxiways and runways...

I believe the head of the US Department of Transportation claimed yesterday that security wait lines would not be longer then 10 minutes. Is this just a dream? I know at PHL, the UA line can be close to an hour.

It depends on the pilot. I have flown 40,000 miles since Sept 11 and most have had it on, but not all. The ones that did not I asked the FA about it and they said the captain decided not to turn it on.

Interesing to hear the Pacifico can pick you up. ExpressPark drivers said that it is not allowed, they can be fined, and have signs in their vans saying pickup at F is not allowed. I wonder if Pacifico just got lucky and did not get caught or if Expresspark is not up to date.
