The A350 was a disaster because there was no market for it.
An upgraded 777 would fit into the replacement market for old 777s and A340s that's going to open in a few years (probably). Different timelines, different market segments.

According to Airbus the A380 is still on schedule, despite having been delayed by several years.

the first picture in the article is a known fake (or rather not what it appears to be). The spider in it (actually if you look closely it's several of them) is sitting on the camera lens, therefore appears very much magnified.

I've had photos rejected for "bad colour" when the only other shot of the aircraft already in the database (obviously used for comparison) was the one with the bad colours...
