Honestly, MSP is one of my fav airports just because if I have a long layover, I know I can find some time to entertain myself with shopping and food. With a huge Nordic/Scandinavian population, it's no doubt that Norwegian has them on their radar, and will likely announce service there for next su...Jump to post

You might speak to Delta about that. 120 and 121 are definitely operating today.
Periodically, MSP sees a 737 and we have had 319/320 service to SFO before (seasonally in summer, I believe). Maybe this is just the return of mainline service for the summer months?Jump to post
Whoopee doo.... wake me up when its CVG and MSP. Yes. Which route happens first? DAL-MSP on WN? Or anything out of MSP on B6? Considering WN isn't adding much at MSP lately (BNA starts in June), and the gate fight still taking place in DAL, I wouldn't hold my breath. Add to that WN had LAS added fo...Jump to post
When you say there is "significant demand" for flights between DAL and above cities, can you point to your source? I'm interested in MSP, but would like to know where you draw the conclusion from. Obviously, MSP is served to DFW by DL, AA, NK, and SY. WN has suggested they would like to s...Jump to post

I was watching a clip from a recent MAC meeting. In the meeting, the HND flight was brought up. They stated consumers have made "adjustments" to this change. If they need more connectivity to other parts of Asia, they are flying via SEA or LAX. HND offers a better flight in to the heart of...Jump to post
I think it depends on where WN sees CVG in its entire plan of possible routes. Say they have a list of 1,000 routes to someday add. There is a value (profit?) assigned to each route. When a CVG route moves to the top of the list, it gets added. The real question is, where on the list are those route...Jump to post
Maybe more expansion by SY or some expansion by WN. I could see G4 maybe, they could lure some customers to their PIE & PGD flights, while not competing head to head with the other carriers who serve the nearby larger airports. Has G4 gone into a major hub airport other than DEN? On the Delta s...Jump to post
AF has been flying to MSP for a few seasons now. The bigger question with AF at MSP is will they ever extend/lengthen their season here and what aircraft will replace the A340 they currently are using on the MSP-CDG route? I fly on the AF flight out of MSP a few times a year. It seems half empty in...Jump to post
Part of MAC meeting minutes. Gives a decent summary in tabular form of the upcoming 2nd quarter ops/seats and some info on destinations served. Thought I would post here for all to read and discuss.

If MHT is profitable than why doesn't WN add flights to make more money? I don't think we got a Saturday only FLL flight and last I checked no LAS again this summer unless it was not advertised witch is a whole other problem. Couldn't the added gates at BOS be for early am departures if there a bun...Jump to post
Thanks as always for taking the time to compile and post this stuff.... VX DAL-LGA MAY 4>3 JUN 4>3 JUL 4>3 AUG 4>3 Worth noting is that the slot pair they're ditching is the one which is pretty much worthless as a thru flight from the west coast. With an intermediate stop in someplace in the US mid...Jump to post
Her experience in the industry and working with(in) government is liked and could be an asset. It also could be a liability. Any judgement should be withheld until results, by way of action in her role, are displayed. Just my two cents. I do agree, it was a while ago she held the benefits, so I gues...Jump to post
The list of supported browsers and devices/op systems is very specific - Android phones are not among them. http://www.delta.com/content/www/en_US/traveling-with-us/onboard-services/how-to-stream.html#list I'm confused. When I go to the Delta link provided, they list Android. They list it as "...Jump to post
SRQ can be done through ATL on DL. Additionally, TPA isn't that far anyway. I don't see it being added by anyone other than DL, if at all...same for DAB. Look for others to step up their game against DL on Florida if it is sustainable. As was previously mentioned, the overall share of passengers, as...Jump to post

A welcome add, but unfortunately the Texas hole remains. Would gladly trade it for DAL or HOU.
WN today added a single daily flight to BNA (Nashville) beginning early June. Compared to last June, MSP stays flat with 27 departures. The trade for the BNA flight was a loss of one ATL flight. I guess this makes sense using BNA to connect and not ATL.Jump to post
I'm actually very disappointed that DTW gets absolutely nothing during this whole schedule change, no reductions and no adds. I was really hoping for DTW to HOU at the very least. Don't be disappointed, there's many factors that go into adding routes, Southwest at DTW is stagnant, they don't add or...Jump to post
- 7x daily to PDX- Wow!! That's a TON of daily passengers between those two cities when you factor in the 27x daily flights on AS/QX that day. 2,700 daily passengers each way, give or take. - 7x daily to MSP- This is also impressive. I wonder why this is such a busy route compared to say, DTW-SEA? ...Jump to post
Actually, I think it is the opposite. If you go to the linked report above, MSP should see an increase in seats per flight of nearly 2%, while seeing a reduction on the number of operations for Q1 2017. That report is from 2015 and was projecting 2016; I was using it to show just how big JFK is in ...Jump to post
