Re: Southwest Fleet/Network Thread - 2020

I certainly dont see COS actually flying this but 13x a day?? What can you expect... I completely agree. I understand why WN is entering new markets and the need to flow some cash, but in my opinion they are starting way too strong in this environment. Unless you need to establish a market presence...

WN's schedule update next week will now cover all the way through August 16, 2021. https://www.southwest.com/air/flight-schedules/?clk=GSUBNAV-AIR-SCHEDULES I'm going to guess they need a longer booking window in this environment since they are chasing leisure revenue which tends to plan trips fart...

Looking at PSP pour loads It's already looking like it may have Chomped off more that it can chew in a richer leisure environment trying to stimulate revenue. they need a lower cost option to fill the 140-150 seat category... Why do they? Upgauging has been a thing for a decade with U.S. carriers. UA hasn't taken a new anything smaller than a 738. If they bite the bullet of adding a fleet type, I think they will place a pretty large order. I agree. If they add the 220, it will be in a big way. Seems like AA is reversing a few things published last week with regard to ORD and PHL. PHL is seeing a few add-back frequencies while ORD comes down slightly. TPA is also a large WN station with similar breadth of network to BNA & ATL. It's probably somewhat better-connected to some smaller Eas...

It was mentioned in enilria's thread that UA will be stopping MHT in October. Assuming AA's October schedule rolls into November, that will leave MHT with 11 daily flights - 3 CLT CR9, 2 PHL CR7, 1 ORD CR7, 4 BWI 737, 1 MDW 737. Very discouraging to see that, but with PWM growing quite a bit (it's ...
