Re: The Rest of New England Aviation Thread (BDL/PVD/MHT/PWM/ORH/BTV/HVN/BGR) - 2020

Write-up on some WN numbers from the WN network thread: https://www.anna.aero/2020/01/27/southwest-airlines-top-airports-by-the-numbers/ MHT and PVD combined owned four of the top five connecting routes through MDW over the time period the article cited, with both airports flowing traffic out to LA...

Re: BOS Cluster **Mess**

Close, but NK aren't seasonal, they are year round for most of their routes. Agreed on AA, until they show more, it's window dressing and nothing else. UA, not going to happen, hub flying and that's it for them. WN - don't be so sure, they need a presence and you might find a return to form at some...

Re: Allegiant News and Discussion Thread - 2020

Is G4 done with starting new small stations? NK seems to now be focusing on ULCC service in big markets and G4 on the Medium/large markets. What small stations are left... that could support G4 and don't have G4 or a ULCC within 90 minutes? Looking at their route map, I would guess CSG AGS, MGM, JA...

Re: The Rest of New England Aviation Thread (BDL/PVD/MHT/PWM/ORH/BTV/HVN/BGR) - 2020

PWM has been growing great guns and I really fear a bubble is distorting the market. ULCC growth has been great for PWM, but I already see signs of other airlines backing off. B6 went seasonal and everyone was holding their breath to see if they would even return in summer 2020. For 2021, I could s...

I'll give this a try too. BDL looks good for steady growth with most airlines, mostly with upgauging, but like the other Northeast airports, WN may be down a flight or tow by the end of the year. I think B6 will be up a flight to somewhere. If it isn't LAX then look south. Probably the most exciteme...

WN doesn't need to be strong everywhere. Their business model just doesn't work well in the Northeast. No shame really. Can I qualify your statement? WN also carried more passengers out of BOS than out of ALB, BUF, BDL, MHT, PHL, PIT, PWM, PVD, or ROC in the October 2018 - September 2019 time period. Not by much and Boston is a much larger city than any of them except Philly and I think they still run a lot of discounts to fill their planes. WN ...

CLT is AA’s largest connecting hub, I can see why it makes sense as more passengers connect in CLT vs OD passengers.
