I just walked through FRA at 21:30 local time and the Lufthansa counters are a disaster. Several hundreds of people are stranded overnight because of many, many cancelled flights earlier in the day.

That explains why my FRA-ORD on UA in the morning went from a third full to zeroed out in an hour.

How many minutes of ETOPS can the 757 and A321 do? According to the Great Circle Mapper website, with 120 mins ETOPS no way. With 180 mins ETOPS, it looks like it may be possible.
