Amazing how buying a 20% share in 1 airline can have such a big domino effect on these Latin markets. DL and their Sky Team alliance were the smallest of the 3 alliances and AA with their One World Alliance was the biggest. With LATAM now joining DL (and Sky Team), they will become the biggest now a...Jump to post
They have actually had that globe in their logo for years, with the teensy airplane circling it, but haven't applied it like that in a livery before, obviously. A globe is pretty-generic; hard to imagine a successful lawsuit. But that doesn't mean that United won't try, or that the cost of defendin...Jump to post
If these obstacles are such a heavy toll on the A350 payload, how come all those 787-9's don't have a similar issue? It's not like the A350-900 is that much bigger compared to the 787-9? Why the difference?
I would also love to see the opinions of passengers flying this route on the A321NEO-LR and also the experience of the airline itself looking at the economics for them. I would love to follow this for all airlines flying the A321NEO-LR on 8+ flights. Interesting.
Precisely on the day KLM has its Experience Day at Schiphol Airport to celebrate their 100th anniversary, the poster plans this threat, makes one wonder. Almost everything in the original post is just how airlines work nowadays. Nothing unique to KLM alone. As for being part of their 100th anniversa...Jump to post
Does anyone have a list of all registrations currently wearing the new LH livery? A388 https://sites.google.com/site/lhgroupfleet/lufthansa Awesome, thanks CarbonFibre. I take it that the blue colored columns are the airplanes wearing the new livery and the yellow ones are still wearing the old liv...Jump to post
Good day everyone, if I remember correctly, Caribbean Airlines will have taken delivery of their first 737MAX in Q4 of this year so I assume this first 737MAX should be in (final) production now. Are there any photos of this bird?
Talking about the A330-200, what is the average age of the worldwide A330-200 fleet? I get the impression they are still relatively young(?)
While I'm not the expert with detailed (inside) knowledge about their situation, what I've heard several times is that LIAT has been in this situation before in the past. In the end they always pull through bad times. I can imagine for some islands they are crucial for air connectivity. I'm not sure...Jump to post
Never mind Air Lingus ,what about SQ. It may be ,to some, a "traditional" livery but this is after all the 21st Century and "the times they are changing!" Cheers 325i. Agreed. It must be the only flag carrier still stuck in the 1980s. There were rumours circulating months ago th...Jump to post
Yes, I was also thinking the same: the same grey fuselage with large SAS titles in silver and with the same blue tail. I think the tail will be practically unchanged, maybe with just a larger SAS logo. It looks like the orange color is gone, that would have been great. Hopefully I'm wrong on this. A...Jump to post
Many people I know don't like the SK livery. I can see the part where people think their livery is too simple with minimal creativity but it is precisely that, which I like about their livery. I took this photo at LHR in July this year (SK A20N) and it looks nice:
Looking at the bottom left photo and center left photo on that teaser, there should be a bigger title in silver lettering (as in billboard size) and on another photo the engines are partially blue and grey(?). It doesn't look like an extreme make-over but rather simple small changes like KL did. Am ...Jump to post
What I see happening so far, KL is replacing their 747's full pax versions with both the 787-10 and 77W. We will get their 787-10 here in CUR and PBM will get the 77W.
Hello, what is the delivery schedule for the (remaining) 787-10 order for KLM? They currently still have only 1, right? A388 They should receive another 3 this year LN908 rolled out of final assembly on the 16th of August, delivery should be next month LN926 due to be loaded for final assembly this...Jump to post
I didn't know of a short field performance 737-800, that's nice. Are there any other benefits of this type besides the short field performance and take off performance? What has been modified compared to the standard 737-800's to make it a short performance aircraft? https://www.airliners.net/forum...Jump to post
Are those the same as GOL's? I though they were the only ones using them. What kind of airport that TK serves would need SFP? TK has 50 SFP configured -800s. I know in the U.S, both Alaska and United operate them. Other Turkish operators like Pegasus have SFP as well. Its useful beyond short field ...Jump to post
The title of this thread is very misleading. It should read Indian A320NEO grounding.
That would be great indeed A380MSN004. I'm also looking forward to an updated list for the aircraft lease and values this summer.

Looks like the pin was never put in at all. Good to know nobody got hurt.
Why doesn't F9 expand more into the Caribbean from MIA? I know AA has their big hub there but still. Why no more expansion from MIA to the Caribbean?
These important developments are better if the source is the airline (group) itself. At this point Avianca will only try and spin this the best way they can and avoid an even bigger meltdown, they may not be a trustworthy source right now. words taken out of context for bad publicity don't help. Ho...Jump to post
Nice to see UA expand at one of my favorite airports where I used to work. They apparently are doing well there. I went to LHR last month and was surprised to see the Star Alliance presence there being so big. The terminal they use there is pretty big. I would have never thought their presence to be...Jump to post

I though Boeing shares would have been much lower then USD 340,00 per share looking at the issues they have now. What I remember, there were times years ago where the share didn't reach USD 200,00. Then again, I'm not the expert so it's just my opinion
What a pity to see AV cancel their 787-9 order. I would have loved to see them. I also they would need them on their MAD routes where AV has multiple flights per day to. Replacing one of those flights with the slightly larger 787-9 wouldn't have been a bad idea. Hopefully AV will get bigger aircraft...Jump to post
TG should bring back the metallic purple color too they used on their A340-500 fleet. Some aircraft are still wearing it now but will eventually be repainted or withdrawn from the fleet so nothing will be left in this metallic purple color in the end. Will TG also put this Royal Barge on internation...Jump to post
A more interesting question is how the emergence of long range narrowbody aircraft (like the A321NEO XLR) will effect Copa's hub operations. I can imagine that at some point in the future many routes won't need that stop in PTY when flying between South America and North America. Please correct me o...Jump to post
VSMUT, as much as I see what you mean I also see this swap between AF and KL as AF going for an all-Airbus fleet and KL going for an all-Boeing. They both have big enough fleets to separate the types entirely. Don't get me wrong, I do want to see the A350 in KL colors but I just think that chance is...Jump to post
Not July. Delivery until 26th July. Then a few days for maintenance and IFE fit. Then Chateauroux training for just crew. Then MAD and other Euro/Domestic runs. Likely late August to mid September.
