I remember seeing SY 727s/DC-10s at MKE back in the day when I was a little kid. I know they flew to LAS, but I don't know if these were just charter flights or if they operated any other routes.

I enjoyed reading your report, good pictures also. When NW/DL still had DC-9s that was one of my favorite planes to fly on, so now the MD-80 is the next best thing.

What Chicago airport is Norwegian going to use? You think 787 can land at MDW? There are other Chicago airports. Norwegian loves using the 3rd and 4th airports of a city. ORD, MDW, ATL and MSP are the most long range flights that make out of TUS. WN did have seasonal service to BWI a few years ago (Saturday only I think), but it never came back. It looks like MSN has gotten capacity bumps as well. UA is flying the 738 from ORD/DEN, DL from MSP has a 757. UA also one ORD-MKE flight on a 738.

Again, I'm not sure JFK-TUS is all that laughable in peak season . TUS is a market like PSP, EGE, JAC, etc. that, I suspect, caters to a decent amount of fairly high-yielding NYC O&D - but that drops off a cliff in the summer. I don't know if JFK-TUS will ultimately work long-term, but if it do...
