Rumour on another forum that VA is looking to deploy Alliance F100's on the BNE-POM route... Interesting given we've heard the low load factors on this route (and HIR) are 'subsidised' by cargo... can't imagine the F100 will carry any cargo.

Per Brisbane Airport's Facebook page (and confirmed from PR's website), they will increase BNE-MNL to 5x weekly from 4 APR 19... this is in addition to the 5th weekly flight they are adding this December/January.

Solomon Airlines new BNE-Munda service(due to start on 3rd of November) has been postponed to the 1st of December. Unknown reason though likely related to the readiness of MUA airport given it'll be the first time it's handled anything bigger than a Dash-8 100 that I'm aware of!

For some reason the current agreement means NZ only has access to BOM (which is on the wrong side of the subcontinent). DEL would work better for them but even then flights to India are low yield and high cost. If NZ is interested in it I would say the AKL South America hub would be where the value...
