RE: Your Favourite Place For Watching Overflights?

From My house in Phoenix area. I live about 15 miles NW of PHX get great views of the LH 340 and the BA 777 turning out to head for Europe. I also spend a lot of time at the end of Runway 26. There is a great parking area right off the end. You also get the wind from the planes. Also a parking area ...

It sounds like they imported the security people from BDL. Now that is some lame security!! BTW in PHX the fast food places at the airport pay 1-3 dollars more than the security positions. Never heard of the FAA trying to bust a hamburger flipper for rules violations and fines!

Jeez I think if I was Canadian I would be mad that the US Customs Service is lurking in my Country. In March when LH brought the First 340 into PHX from FRA the Fire Dept had one truck with the German Flag and one with the US flag and they made a very nice water arch for the 340 to taxi under. One hour later was the first BA 777 to arrive PHX and the fire dept replaced the German Flag with the Bri...

Last week there was a private 747-100 in PHX with a similar paint job. Private jet on the exec ramp. It had middle eastern markings and was mostly white.
