RE: Who Caught The A346?

Greetings,

The A340-600's callsign into EGKK was actually Virgin 871. It is the first A340-600 for the airline. It will be a common sight soon at London airports in Virgin (June), Cathay (Late summer 2002) and hopefully South African (late 2002) livery.

RE: Is This ......safe?

Here is some info on this flight from my friend, the Chief Pilot of Kalitta Air: The maintenance ferry flight itself was conducted on April 26, 1997 from PHNL to KOSC. The aircraft was N625PL (now N709CK), a B-747-132F, s/n 20247, fuselage number 159. It was 10.3 hours enroute. An inspection in Hono...

RE: Brightness/Contrast Problems In Photoshop?

Hi all, I have exactly the same problem as Jeremy in Photoshop 5.0 LE. I thought it was only me who experienced dark pics. The strange thing is when an photo edited in Photoshop is viewed in Paint Shop Pro 5 on the same computer it also appears too dark, thus proving it is not a computer problem it ...

Monopods Onboard Aircraft

Has anyone had any recent experiences taking a monopod onboard an aircraft as part of hand luggage. I will be flying soon in Europe and wish to take my monopod for windy days/slow shutter speeds etc. I have no hold baggage on this trip. I understand snooker cues are banned because they could be clas...

RE: LAX Spotting?

Hi, Took loads of pics at LAX 27/28th OCT. Mainly from the restaurant grounds next to the staff car park near to the approach 25L. Also went to the hilly El Segundo road, just past the cargo ramps where the benches are to take the following pic. No police or security approached us at all. The Theme ...

RE: One Of My Best Pics Rejected, Why?

Thanks for all your replies. In summary it seems the majority (the general viewers) admire this work and the minority (the screeners) have got too critical. I might try a closer crop and upload that, then again I might as well give up.....

Regards,
Jon

RE: Heathrow Runway 23

When there is a strong southerly wind Rwy 23 can still be used for landing and Runway 27R is used for take-offs. It has a dme but no ILS. The runway does not interfere with 27R, so 23 and 27R can happily be used together.

Jon
