"high absenteeism" = walk out from what I have been told by many. Not sure if its a work action or not.

Mechanics and others with SIDA badges at SeaTac for AS have been asked to help out for at least a week.

Ive flown intra-Carib/Central America a few times on Copa & all my flights were quite full. MBJ & PUJ to PTY had a *lot* of US nationals on board. CUN/PTY was a lot of Colombians & Brazilians, I was the only US citizen both times. BZE was weirdly a lot of Belizeans & US citizens, not...

Also surprising is that Canadian operators don’t consider this as a better right size option than the 737 Classic (B733-5)...it would save on a FA even in a Y112 configuration. How would a Y112 configuration save a flight attendant vs. a 733 or 735? It wouldn't. The default is 1 for every 40 pax, n...

Lots of planes have had teething problems but have gone on to long careers serving airlines. Uh, this isn't a teething problem. This is worthy of a Hollywood script. 2 planes dove nose-down into the ground, and everyone on board knew they were going to die. Pilots struggled to keep this plane airbo...

I am not sure I see HA and 9K doing an interline agreement when HA won't even do one with Mokulele in its own backyard.... why do all that work to feed 1 flight that operates a few times a week vs a guy offering 90+ flights a day inter-island to feed everything else.

What makes you think ETOPS will be toast? The issue with the plane wasn’t range. It was flawed software. I don’t see any reason etops would be suspended. When planes do uncommanded nose-dives into the ground, and with Boeing and the FAA being a bit cozy, I can see the FAA being a bit more "har...

The MAX 8 is still more efficient than the A320 NEO. If Boeing starts it's NSA program to replace the 737 earlier than initially planned, Airbus is going to need to do a NEO on the A220 or develop a new 6 abreast single aisle aircraft. At least NEO is flying. None of us know what Max will look like...

There are programs like OASIS and Sabre AirVision that show anticipated lines, help calculate landings/cycles/block hours, etc. The systems will then produce files and reports for things like schedule submissions, slot requests, crew planning, etc.
