Uhh, as far as I know, UA doesn't, and never has, charged for IFE. The only IFE they have ever charged for is DirecTV. All of the streaming, PDE and seatback systems have been free otherwise. It seems UA, actually led the pack before DL.

Did Boeing screw up optimizing around the 788?

When the 787 was in the early stages of design in the early to mid 2000s, the plan was to have the 788 with it's own wing, while the 789 would have a separate, larger, optimized wing - potentially underpinning what seemed like an unlikely 787-10, at the time. In the process of firming the designs, i...

Hmm, if by earbud design, they mean the white ipod ones, then I guess that makes sense.I see the logic but to be honest; I know that many people have invested in what are known as IEM (in ear monitor) earphones which basically blocks out a lot of the external noise minus without the need for active...

As far as I'm concerned as long as all your naughty bits are covered up and you're not too cold, then you're dressed properly. I fight a running battle in my college classroom between coeds who dress for the temperature outside (90F+ this week) and married women who have learned to dress for my air...

Frankly there are some weird people out there and what they wear is somethings questionable. No shirt, No shoes, No shorts(pants/skirt/dress) No service. I am all for a very common sense dress code. No shorts?! You'd have trouble enforcing that on certain routes. People can wear nice chino shorts, ...

I can imagine it may help with claustrophobia.
