Also, some 5xx flights don't involve the West Coast at all. I flew on AC529 BOS-YYZ back in October, when mainline was still operating that route.

Lufthansa names their aircraft after German municipalities and states, although some A380s are named after non-German cities. There's also an A340-300 named after two Canadian cities, Gander/Halifax, paying tribute to Operation Yellow Ribbon.

I've heard the same about the 77W in the past, but I've flown on the 77W at the very front (only three rows away from door L1) and found it significantly quieter than I expected. Of course, almost nothing beats the A380 in terms of quietness.

Great spots and interesting variety of traffic.

Munich Airport has a decent observation deck (for sighting) but the glass makes it really difficult to get good shots without reflections.

Premium classes on the 787 are fine but I would personally avoid the 787 in Y class unless if it's on JAL. My biggest complaint would be the lack of shoulder room. Songshan Airport is ridiculously close to Central Taipei, and from what I remember, the metro station is right underneath the terminal. You can even spot planes on the ramp from inside the train before it goes underground into the station.

KE tried ICN-PEN in the mid-2000s with the A330-200. Can't remember what the exact frequency was but it was less than daily. Maybe Jin Air (KE's LCC subsidiary) can add ICN-PEN someday, but at the present moment I believe they are not allowed to add any new routes due to their recent scandal.
