ORD does really well to Europe in the summer and will get more seasonal flying. ORD to AISA wasn't good and served no purpose in competing with LAX or DFW. I was on a flight SFO-San Luis Obispo and there was about 10 people on my flight which was an ERJ175...I was really concerned about them cancelling my flight and was hoping they'd hurry and close the door before they changed their mind...I told the FA's I appreciate the airline not cancelling cause...

Funny how operationally, maintenance and customer service the LUS side is much better by most accounts and the problems seem to be mostly on LAA. That doesn't mean its not the CEOs fault but that does seem to indicate that maybe mid level management maybe the real culprit.

Good point MIFlyer, Every Market is a unique thing. Its weird how much we all like to have symmetry in this business for Schedules, Dots (Cities) on a Map, Equipment use etc. in the airline business when ultimately none of that is related to maximizing assets and profits.

Airlines should strictly follow the laws and for any late flights be sure to let the Passengers know they are diverting to BUR and busing them in because the city will not let them land 10 minutes past curfew.

I don't know a lot of the JV details or how different they maybe in each case but in AA's case the JVs have absolutely and unequivocally resulted in more AA long haul flying not less.

This management team got extremely quick contracts done with almost every work group. Its the union (The Association) in this case that has caused about 90% of the delays not the company. Why does the union put up with what is obviously a systematic management problem?

I flew CLT to HOU in the summer of 1972 or 73 by myself (I was 12 or 13). I do recall in CLT you walked out to the aircraft and up the air-stairs. It was my first aircraft flight, would that have been a 727?
