Since MCAS Yuma is a military airfield with commercial air service, the airport allows the AA regional jets to land and take off between airshow acts. There isn't much commercial activity--just several AA flights to and from Phoenix.

Airbus A319, N837UA, flew a test flight today, 7/12, UA2698. This is the aircraft that had to perform an emergency landing at EWR due to a hydraulic system failure.

This aircraft is not even close to flying. They still can't get the hydraulic systems to function properly, and the left gear is half disassembled.

If they decide to fix the plane, they will need to bring in a team from Boeing. There is not enough manpower or proper tooling to perform such work in-house.

Most of the time, 767 are at SFO for landing gear change. No Polaris retrofit is done at SFO at all.

I only see one 787-10 out of service at this time. N12006 at EWR has a Lav 3R issue that has to be fixed. The deferral ran out of time.

It was mainly there for structural inspection. Perhaps they found something they needed to fix. The ADS-B mod takes about 5 days.

It is expected to return to service between May 6 and May 7. We don't know why they test flew the airplane during the middle of the visit. There is still some work to be done.

On that night picture, I see the wing walker wearing black. That would be United's own Aircraft Movement Team at ORD. To get that close to take the picture, it would have been an United employee. I am disappointed that an employee would leak the picture.

I got a company email from United today with a link to a video. The email says, "United's next livery arrives April 24. Watch the flyaway in the dark of the night on Flying Together." When I clicked on the link, it says 404 Error.
