RE: TWA In PIT

Quoting FLAPS (reply 24): "If not for the controllers strike PIT could well have evolved into a major two carrier hub such as <acronym title="Atlanta - Hartsfield-Jackson International (The Wi...

RE: Southwest: PHX Lobbying For Headquarters

Tornado, you were right about USA3K and FlyI. They were there since the middle of 2004 (FlyI was anyway.) Airtran has been there for years, since 99 or 2000 i think. I didn't mention FlyI only because they folded last month. I was referring to an article in the Post-Gazette about airport traffic las...

RE: Southwest: PHX Lobbying For Headquarters

quoting SonOFACaptain (reply42) "I think WN has a grudge against US" Pittsburgh used to be the headquarters for US Airways before they moved to Arlington, VA. I think it was also the reason why there were only 5 or 6 airlines serving the airport to...

RE: Southwest Up To 4 Gates In DEN

I thought WN did not operate on a hub-and-spoke system (regards to DIA in reply no.5) If that was the case, then they would already operate some 10 or 11 hubs... <acronym title="Baltimore / Washington - International (Friendship) (BWI / KBWI), USA ...

RE: USA3000 Coming To Rockford,IL?

I wonder if USA3000 serves Myrtle Beach. I know they have a handful of Florita destinations. Hooters Air used to serve Florida and Myrtle before they pulled out. If USA3000 moves in (if they haven't already) it wouldn't surprise me if they served the Florida markets served once by Hooters...

RE: US Airways Ending PIT-MIA?

Captaink, I agree with you on PIT getting screwed here. They've been getting screwed for some time. Maybe WN or <acronym title="Airtran (USA...
