Flying from the B concourse today at CMH, a couple of observations: 1. There is a parking stand with lines for A319, A320, and A321 but no jetbridge between UA’s B34 and NK’s B35 (I’m not sure if the jetbridge at B35 is long enough to be used as a swing gate for boarding). Apparently, a bunch of emergency supplies for Puerto Rico will be flown by Volga-Dnepr out of either CMH or CVG:

Since we adopted it as one of "our" airports, does anyone know how Contour is doing with PKB-BKW-CLT? I pulled random dates in January and they're offering $29 o/w on your choice of days to and from Charlotte; by comparison, AA CMH-CLT on the same day is $579. If I had more free time, I'd ...Jump to post
It must be flashback Friday at CMH because we’re scheduled to see (and hear!) some 737-200 action this afternoon courtesy of Ameristar Jet Charters. We see 734 charters fairly regularly (Swift etc...) but does anyone recall the last 732 at CMH? Any info on this short hop to Bloomington, IN (BMG)? h...Jump to post
Any predictions for 2020? I think we may see a new airline at DAB or at least a new airline announced. If DAB gets new air service, it'll most likely be announced in the October-November timeframe as most new services start there in January or February. I have a feeling AA may go daily on LGA-DAB i...Jump to post

The fare and subsequent decline in boarding woes at DAY continue: Without a significant LCC at DAY, this is going to continue to be the case, and flyers will continue to bleed off to CVG & CMH. What does DAY need to do to bring a regularly scheduled, non seasonal LCC presence? Delta is somewhat...Jump to post
Furthermore WN flies to limited destinations out of SAN east of the Mississippi, apart from their hubs. CMH on the short list? Come on people! Those limited destinations include seasonal IND. Hope springs eternal for CMH-AMS/CDG. CRAA still wants TATL and they've been confirmed as having talked to DL. The pairing makes sense given DL's presence and recent growth at CMH (with SLC back, they serve all hubs, plus some P2P, and have retrenched back to their original 1995 gates on C) and the ...Jump to post
I noticed edits to the CMH Wikipedia page about the seasonal PHL and IAH mainline adds had been reverted (twice), which I didn't understand. That said, it looks like the A319 to IAH may have had its start date changed or even disappeared. Anybody know anything? Happy New Year Everyone! Amazing to th...Jump to post
Welcome to the 2020 regional thread for aviation in Ohio (except CLE- more on that later). I am moving to the CVG/DAY area from BNA. All of my family is either in SEA or PDX, and have benefited greatly from the 2x daily BNA-SEA and BNA-SFO on AS while in BNA. I could be wrong but does seem like DAY management made any bad decisions does it? Nice to see CMH getting at least a seasonal second daily flight to SEA on AS. I am otherwise not overly optimistic about any spectacular mainline/legacy additions coming for 2020 in CMH. With load factors doing well and, likely, yields as well, the airlines may have found their sweet spots here. Th...Jump to post

Half the LUS fleet has 2KU, and per JonNYC I understand the remaining five aircraft will also get the 2KU early next year. Does this mean that the aircraft will be staying longer than 2020? So rather than go into an untapped market, they're going into one with direct competition from DL.
I don't get it.
I can't see CVG or IND getting them with DL running TATL already from both. Second. if you look at all of BA's recent US additions, they all have a theme of being a trendy city or one with a growing tech sector, or a combination of both. I just don't see that with STL or CVG. This might be where CMH...Jump to post

Slow day at work observation inspired by the talk of possible new G4 bases in another thread, but it looks like LCK's lead-in lines have been adjusted to make the gate on the left (which is 2, IIRC) a swing gate. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Rickenbacker+International+Airportfirstname.lastname@example.org,-82.93...Jump to post
