RE: NWA Future Planes?

I think that because they already have the A319/320 in their fleet, they will go with the A318, so the pilots can (possibly) become qualified to fly all three, and less pilots will be needed. I've already heard that NW is getting the A330. How long do the older planes (DC-9/10, 727) have left in the...

Why Wasn't The 737-400 Big In The U.S.?

I was wondering why airlines who bought the 737-300 didn't go with the 737-400 as well. USAirways and Alaska (and Carnival when it existed) are the only U.S. airlines to have it that I know of. United, Continental, and Southwest have the -300 and the -500, but why didn't they take the -400, too?? Ju...

Ok, I have one more. Can you find what 747-400 was used on July 27, 1999 DTW-AMS? (My first and only 747 flight to date!)

Here's the info:
NW 68, DTW-AMS, 747-400, departed 5:50pm (about that time), 7/27/99

Thanks!

I can fit my three favorite planes into this!!
Shorthaul- B727-200
Medium- B757-200
Longhaul- L-1011-1

Other ideas I have are: the DC-9, or the 737-800 in shorthaul, the A310 or the 767-300 (not ER) in medium, and the 777-200ER or A330 in the longhaul category.

There's a Marriott almost at the Airport, which, if you're on the proper side, has a pretty good view of the end of the left runway, and I think Concourses F,G,H.
