Not sure why your reply has a wink, I've never heard of the website you mention.

It's crazy you don't start with a fresh copy of a photo. You're just making things tougher on yourself. You might want to read about JPEG compression and how it affects the quality of your photos.

Things like 'dark' or 'over sharp ' are subjective, a dust spot isn't. Also, when you reupload you are working from a fresh copy of the file, perhaps you missed a step? We will be offering Priority Screening for MAKS 2015 from now through 10pm (GMT -7) Los Angeles time on 30Aug.

No need to send a separate email as we will be looking regularly. Also, please remember all air show pictures require a full date.

Distance rejections are all suspect on the above linked shots, but you have taken the shots at a terrible time of day, very high sun, and they are quite common subjects.

I wouldn't call f/2.8 fast glass these days. At any rate, as mentioned above, he is shooting with a very modern sensor (some say the best in a DSLR) and fast glass(1.8 prime). These is also limited dynamic range in the finished product, which hides any noise.

Grain on modern sensors (also called noise) is usually a result of poor exposure, a large crop, or both.

It's bad form to hijack someone else's thread with your own woes, so best to start your own.

It means it is a rejection reason that needs further explaining, such as unlevel (which way) or contrast (too much or too little). All rejection reasons carry the same weight, but some are not fixable (like blurry).

The only confusion would be your unfamiliarity with our rules regarding doubles.

The shots are clearly double, one being taken at a higher altitude. You knew the photo was previously removed, with a note explaining why, yet you choose to reupload it. That is why you were banned.
