I've seen an Alitalia MD-11 video when it's coming in for landing at Kai Tak and that was probably the worst and hardest landing I've ever seen, smoke everywhere and the direction was not exactly straight forward either... I would not like to have been any of those main bogies.. <img src="/dis...

"In thrust we trust" CFM56
Hmm..was there a cargo shift..? Don't think so.
this was probably an everyday sight at HKG I guess..
Too bad I never managed to get there before CLK opened..missed it by two months!

According to Boeing, the 777-200ER has a maximum range of 7.700nm so it should be able to fly between these city pairs. I don't know about the load capacity when it flies such a long route.
"In thrust we trust"
Yeah, they did a discreet "tidy" up of the colour but not too much, just perfect. I love their livery and I'd hate to see it gone! Those illustration samples by the way, reminds me of BMI don't you think??
"In thrust we trust" CFM56
Wasn't there also speculation on the landing being so
smooth that the sensors did not react because they
thought they were "still in the air" ???

It will be ARN-MUC november 16th and return few days later..with Lufthansa I believe..they use CRJ:s on this route or at least they used to <img src="/discussions/graphics/biggthumpup.gif" ALT="Big thumbs up"> <img src="/discussions/graphics/biggthumpup.gif" ALT="Big thumbs up"> "In thru...
