Highflyer, I dont live in the US so I can't give you prices, and I've actually forgotten the cost when I did my multi/instrument ratings back in 2000. I can tell you however, that both ratings are separate. If you haven't flown the twin engine plane yet, you will have to get multi-VFR training first...
