I have a very good friend that has taken up a job offer with Air Nippon and will be based at Osaka.
what can any of you say about Osaka? cost of living, lifestyle, people, food...anything said would be helpful to prepare for culture shock...
looking forward to some replies...
One of my main concerns about the LIAT/BWee merger is the eventual downsizing of the existing Tobago Express. Tobago Express is currently on a large scale hiring pace ( large in comparison to the size of the airline), hiring from Human Resource Managers, to Pilots to Flight Attendants etc. My applic...Jump to post
funny you should mention all those names, yet I'm the only flag carrier LIVING in Trinidad, haha.. just teasing the rest of you... as for the Dash8, I can't confirm the prop incident, but there was a similar fuselage incident last year with a truck bumping into the tail section of a Tobago Express a...Jump to post
BWIA 772, LHR will remain, they won't stop that flight. what I heard however, and this is a while ago, is that they want to do some charter flights on behalf of the Bajan goverment into places like Prestwick, Glasgow England, ...Jump to post
aye C130HERCULES, nice to see someone else is finally flying the Trinidad flag on this forum. I was alone all along. what are the specifics of a Private and/or Command IR? I would suggest the command IFR assuming it's the more detailed rating. sometimes it's just temporary. as in the case of BWIA, their first A340 9Y-TJN is a permanent installment and is painted in full BWIA colours. their second A340 9Y-JIL, is on a temporary lease from Virgin Atlantic unti...Jump to post
had them for the first time on a recent visit to Toronto.
love the free sample of the regular glazed donuts, followed by a dozen of them.
mmmm, bye bye Tim Horton's.
I live in a country where we drive from the right side of the car and yes, it IS easier (at least for me) to fly from the right seat ESPECIALLY if the right side has duplicate instruments as the left. it feels more nat...Jump to post
why not have a look at the BWIA dvd out now? nice insight into their inflight service for first class. and cockpit procedures from LHR to <acronym title="Bridgetown (Christ Church) - Grantley Adams (Seawell) International (BGI...Jump to post
I'm a commercially licensed pilot with 100+ twin engine hours on a Beech Baron. I recently got a shot on the Dash8 sim at Downsview Toronto.....guess what?? ballooned the damn thing on the flare, couldn't recover and then the screens went red. ok ok ok.... so I dunno much about cricket haha... I really don't follow it that much, but I'm a West Indian Patriot and love to get caught up in all the hype so Lara's 400 runs was worth the look. and to slip in a bit of aviation here, it's times like these that make BWIA's callsign "West Indian" e...Jump to post
As probably the only born and still residing Trinidadian on this site, I too want to congratulate our very own Brian Lara.... He has done the team, country, region and sport proud. Hopefully his success leads as a motivation to the rest of the team and the West Indies will rise again. Rally!!!!!! Ra...Jump to post
2 days too.
drove down to Oshkosh WI for that Airventure show and didn't get a hotel/motel room, so we had to camp out in the car park.
Didn't care to use those open showers in the barn thing, so I waited till I got back to ontario :p
I doubt. After Tony got rejected by the Shrink, the only "real" woman he claimed to like, I can see him going back to Carmela later on. as for the waiter scene, I loved it...I found it was funny and got back Christopher and Paulie together. I cracked up when christopher was running off saying "that'...Jump to post
so what's the verdict? I thought it was alright. The scene where Christopher and Paulie killed the waiter was a bit funny, as well as their little rift throughout the episode. I second SlamClick.. Trust your instruments. in all honesty, I always preferred night vfr flying over day when I was training in Toronto. The air is more calm, less traffic, and whatever traffic there is, you can see them from miles away. 5 miles out from the airport, you can clearly see the runway ...Jump to post

thanks for the input guys, the V50 is also available with a sports package, slightly lowered, different wheels and a beefier kit around it. Only problem is, sports package cannot be combined with AWD. it's either/or. I'll be keeping a close eye on it's development and launch though. thanks again.Jump to post
