Years ago I had a sales brochure for the BAC-111 from BAC. In it BAC stated that the 111 could be used to land on golf courses and other soft fields if optionally equipped. I wonder if anyone ever used one like that?

It all depends on how level the course is. But anyway you look at it, it's better than a road, football field, or highway. It looks like in this case the persons on board and the airplane escaped without injury.

Back in the 70's I remember Hyatt hotel lobby's always smelled the same way. Back then aircraft interiors smelled more like hospitals that what they currently smell like today. I think it was the product that they used to clean the interiors that made them smell that way.
