One of those “die a hero or live as the villain” moments. If introducing basic economy won’t save JetBlue, what will make their product more appealing? It doesn't help that they waited to long to start refreshing their a320 interiors. Their hard product on a majority of their routes is looking extr...Jump to post
Chris, I think I must take issue with that. I think you are saying BA's product is better than AA's? But truthfully, AA's J class far surpasses Club World. I often fly to JFK just to avoid having to stare at my "cube-mate during every service. We will have to see what BA's new business class l...Jump to post
BOS-HNL I thought the "on a given day 500 passengers from Eastern New England travel to Hawaii" was an interesting quote. Its important to note its not an average. I'm sure those days are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Also, Jan-March is not the greatest weather in Hawaii - I wouldn't be s...Jump to post
All I can say is they better not f*** it up. They have one of the best liveries in America. Timeless, even by 2018 standards. Yup, I’d love to see some “retro” stripes tails make a return. Jetblue's one special retro livery looks amazing! To bad everyone is moving away from stuff like that. https:/...Jump to post
BOS isn't a logical, distance-efficient connecting point for pretty much any U.S. airport xxx-BOS-HNL. This is going to need to rely on BOS O&D traffic. They are going to be able to connect the few destinations that make sense with the early morning flights no problem. They have flights coming ...Jump to post
I been thinking the same thing. I've been viewing them as the F9 of TATL. Lets just hope they actually receive the MAX's on time. Painfully ironic that while BOS has the F9 of TATL falling all over it that it is the one major market that actual F9 can't seem to crack for an assortment of reasons. E...Jump to post

I have a different opinion which I shared in the other thread. I think DL is basically "fighting" B6 on all fronts in New England. Wherever B6 goes, DL will go. Notice that contrary to other NE airports, DL is pulling back at MHT (and might even pull out completely). what's different abou...Jump to post

I'd like to see somebody come in and fill in the void once OneJet goes byebye. Whether that would be Ultimate Air, this start-up Moxy that was mentioned earlier, or someone else I think remains to be seen at the moment. Afgter reading that PG article on the latest in the OneJet saga, I give them a ...Jump to post
I'd like to see DL put mainline metal on PIT-BOS as well. I don't see why an A319 wouldn't work on this route or to LGA although an A220 on either route would probably be more ideal... I think the possibility of it getting flown with a 717 isn't crazy. But so far DL has been managing most of its gr...Jump to post
It is official PF has decide to go seasonal in BOS https://www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/primera-shifts-boston-to-seasonal-status-451136/?cmpid=NLC%7CFGFG%7CFGNEP-2018-0816-GLOB%7Cnews&sfid=70120000000taAi Actually I had a fear they would abandon completely. I am going to ask this here, as it happened on my flight From BOS this morning but does anyone else agree that Gogo internet on DL sucks. Cause mine sure did. Normally pretty bad, although some of their planes that were recently refreshed have better speeds. So far my best experience speed wise is ...Jump to post
What should happen is the cargo facilities for DL/FDX.etc. gets leveled and an extension to terminal A is built, with CBP. You could very well get 8 or 9 widebody gates out of that. Re-work the roadways a bit, expand the main terminal for a bigger checkpoint and more ticket counter space, add a cou...Jump to post
Presumably the new VS, KL, and KE flights will depart out of E rather than A, which would give DL's partners up to 9 flights departing from E (AMS, 2x LHR, MAN, ICN, MEX, 2x CDG, FCO) I wonder if DL has given any consideration to having a sterile bus from A to E to facilitate connections to those f...Jump to post

Bos-jfk is constantly seeing 767s ferried between eachother, I've been following this thread since the beginning and honestly surprised I've never seen them throw one on the short hop as an equipment sub. I'm curious where people traveling from PIT to Hawaii (HNL, OGG, etc) connect through? The two times I went to HNL I always connected through LAX , but that was when AA flew the route. I know if you search PIT-HNL, AA likes to route you through DFW or PHX. MSP on DL for me. You can do SLC now on DL...Jump to post
Their crews are also very junior in addition to being understaffed. Instead of what, defending the realm from the MHTs, PVDs, and ISPs of the world while B6 becomes totally dominant at BOS and JFK? Might make for an interesting MBA project. Are you talking about the same plane? There's literally no objective passenger comfort metric where a DL CR9 is superior over a DL E175. And if DL configures this the same as their 70-seat E175, all that is gained is an inch of pitch in standard economy. Subjectively I suppose one could think that ...Jump to post

TATL is good but IMO they cannot do that until they get back their gates in Terminal A. Another factor could be Amazon HQ2. Some smarties are saying That Boston and D.C. are neck and neck to win this prize, and the posturing by airlines is happening ahead of that announcement. DL has already outpaced AA as of March-2018 in the number of PAX. The next target for DL is B6 although DL does not fly to most of AA hubs which also happen to be some of the most populous city. I feel like people on the widebody train are missing the point that them starting with A321LR s doesn't rule out the possibility of widebodies in the future. It makes way more finacial sense to dip their toe in the water with a smaller plane that could be used elsewhere if TATL doesn't work out. The...Jump to post

$599 ow J (of any variety) is not a real money maker on TATL (I know you said "minimum"). Similarly with BOS. I’m not aware of how B6 does there but for years, BOS wasn’t targeted by legacies for expansion because it wasn’t a business opportunity!
