It used to be that if they couldn't get the person's heart to beat on its own after a good bit less than 30 minutes, they would pronounce out the concern that irreversible brain damage would occur. Now, studies have shown that 30 shouldn't be the cutoff. A well-known-MD friend worked with paramedic...

You might want to take a look at youtube, there's a video of a 737 doing just that, activating reverse right about 10' RA.

It's my understanding that making the windshield curved a bit also created some lens properties on that, so actually the windscreen is like a lens. So how do they manage to keep that down to minimum? No - the whole idea is to be able to manufacture a large, curved piece that specifically doesn't ha...

Short answer: The GPU gives electrical power only, but the packs don't run on electricity. They run on high pressure air. To run the packs you need something to pressurize the bleed air manifold, be it engine bleeds, APU bleed or high pressure external air from a start cart. Long answer: Type speci...

LED can be very bright and very uncomfortable for eyes... The really cheap price UA got on 73Gs was Boeing filling up some available production slots AND keeping the CSeries out of UA's hands by making them an offer they essentially couldn't refuse. These kinds of deals are very specific to the circumstances at hand, and aren't a generic template to use f...
