I called BA about a week ago to claim my refund (I had no interest in the travel voucher). Called the 1-800 number for U.S. customers. Long haul is always more exciting. Even though I’m generally flying between places that I know very well (Denver and the UK). It just has a different feel. Perhaps it’s the meals. Or the blankets. I just checked Flightradar24 and the sky is pretty full of planes going transatlantic. I thought that flights to Europe were either banned or cancelled as of Friday. https://i.imgur.com/GquZYEb.jpg Certain passengers are banned. Not flights. There’s also a significant repatriation situation going on.

I think November will be a defining moment. The current Administration seems less concerned with decreased competition, so another 4 years could see a green light for increased code sharing, alliances, or even mergers.

But a change in President may result in a very different philosophy.
