It is grounded due to RR engine turbine issues. They have not been able to get replacement engines fast enough so a handful of frames are basically stuck, like the one you saw.

There have been teething issues with other planes and engines before. The 787 is an example of an airplane being late and getting grounded. QR does - got one a few months ago
AA sometimes does (although i haven't seen one in the last year or so)
CX has cool ones that have spaces for your bag tags.
BA has ones with LHR maps and transit information

BA 193 747-400 LHR-DFW has diverted to MEM That seems very odd. Why wouldn't BA en route to IAH divert to one of AA's hub airports (JFK/ORD/PHL/MIA/DFW) How on earth will BA/AA move these around from such a small operation. Maybe they had a medical emergency. what about the operational reliability of the 767s to use on PHL-BUD/PRG? This has been a disaster for DFW-AMS this summer. I believe it's something they're actively working to address. I've heard rumors of an extensive maintenance plan for the 767 fleet that will be put into place this fall/winter...

to be fair, one isn't supposed to open and/or consume duty free purchases in the airport. I assume the FR proposal is more targeting spot consumption such as bars than alcohol purchase itself.

I agree with the problem and disagree with the solution. The solution is to heavily disincentivize the bad behavior - possibly by harsh penalties/temporary bans on travel and/or arrests.

The 99% of people who aren't drunken fools shouldn't be punished.

It's due to cabin crew strike action. BA seems to pick one flight and cancel it for successive days.
