Re: What makes the B737 an "old, outdated" design?

I am not an engineer, or an expert on the subject, but I am an active cabin crew member with over 14 years of experience on several series of the 737 (from the classics, to the NG and the Max series), as well as experience in working on other Boeing aircraft (717) and Airbus (A320). Smell is the key, smells are a clear indicator that something is not ok. I had a few passengers scared of condensation but curiously no one paid attention to burning smells on the occasion of the two fires I had on board, I'm glad my nose is a fine smoke detector.

I hate cigarette smoke and I wasn't that bothered most of the time, I'm shocked to see so many people saying that the cabin was filled with a thick cloud of smoke, sorry, it never happened to me and I started flying LONG ago, we used to give cigarettes to passengers after the meal. My view is that it is often done at the convenience of the cabin crew. Asleep passengers are quiet, non-demanding passengers.
