Re: US DHS announces new security measures for US bound flights

Which is why I keep an iPhone4 with a T-Mobile Sim in it so that when I go to the US I don't take my phone, just the one that's been to the US with me before. So DHS can search all it all they like but all they'll find is communications with my friends in the US. Same for my Ipad. You can never be ...

Re: US DHS announces new security measures for US bound flights

I'm assuming "heightened screening of personal electronic devices" is code for more full searches of all of the data on your phone or tablet... Which is why I keep an iPhone4 with a T-Mobile Sim in it so that when I go to the US I don't take my phone, just the one that's been to the US wi...

I am not a nostalgic man, I much prefer the new one. Even though I don't love it, it's above average. The old one was, well, old, obviously, and I tend to dislike cheatlines (a heresy for anet)

? Delta may not be a city, but it's a region that most people wouldn't think of when they mention the airline. The Mississippi Delta, which is where Delta Air Lines began service. *OR*, geniuses...get out a map. Delta, Louisiana. population 239. There may very well be a Delta Louisiana, but the air...

Re: ElAl not allowed to (force) move passengers anymore.

I think these days there is an intolerance of religious people, anyway. Most are not extremists. IMHO there is an over tolerance of religious nuts' whims. They are the ones who should adapt, not the other way around. I work at a neighborhood filled with both hasidic jews and muslims in robes, as lo...

Does anyone have experience with Millemiglia? I've long distance flights coming up with AZ, and inquired with the Millemiglia customer service about the possibility of using miles for an upgrade either way. The booking class (H) allows for upgrades. After voicing my interest, I was put on hold for ...

Re: 797/MOM Discussion Thread

I know this will strike to some as flat-out ignorant, but seeing airlines lost interest in the 757, why would the MoM become succesful? is it because of new techs to make it competitive as the 757 once was?

Re: Passenger misses flight, found asleep in airport bus after 6 hours

My father once fell asleep on a suburban train coming out of Chicago, took it to the end of the line, and ended up all the way back in the city after riding it all the way back, still asleep. In his case, it was extremely exhausted...but it's possible. However, in this case, there are some serious ...

They don't look that similar to me. They just happen to both be blue, and not even the same shade of blue. But the rear and tail is all different as are the engines.

Also the swoosh is different, one is arched, the other one rises.

Re: Inappropriate actions by two passengers onboard ryanair from MAN-IBZ

How dare families vacation to Ibiza! They should expect public sex on an airplane if they're flying there. They're pretty much taking their kids to a peep show if they want to vacation there That's what Ibiza is known for. However, it's not so bad. As far as I understood there were no children at t...

The AA overseas based crew are not and they have inferior contracts to US based crew, whereas at United all overseas crew are AFA members, employed under the AFA contract, and part of ...

Recent airline "start ups" in Argentina made me remember the old saying "if you build it, they will come". I am trying to think of a good reason why so many paper airlines have requested such ludicrous routes.

SkyTeam requires to have the announcement made in the local language of the destination country (or origin, whatever) if the flight is longer than 6hs if I'm not mistaken. Of course, it is also made in English and the carrier's language. So in case of an emergency, every pax should be aware of how ...

Of course not. Do you think ET has Norwegian-speaking crew on their OSL flights? Or TK has Vietnamese-speakers on their SGN flights?... That would be virtually impossible. I would imagine this has already been discussed in the forum, but aren't foreign airlines required to have SOME level of the language of the country they are flying to?
