Why do you think that the cabins are not being installed at TLS before delivery? Strange question!

With the 777s getting their new cabins in SIN and the 764s getting theirs in CAN, I didn’t know where the A339s would be getting theirs.

Oh, and Boeing needs to see the jet they tried to destroy flying in and out of SEA as often as possible.

And, that’s the tea!

Re: First Delta A330neo Rolls Out Of Paintshop

When is this plane supposed to enter service? 01 July on SEA-PVG. Rumor has it that it's scheduled to be delivered on 16 May, but as I'm yet to see any indications of the first flight for any of the frames, I'd be shocked if that date still holds. Prepare to be shocked. It'll actually fly away from...

Re: Why hasn´t Delta expanded since the 747´s retirement?

Delta strategy is to have most intl flying done by their JV partners. This is why most of the “expansion” has been more routes to AMS/CDG for the AF-KLM JV or to ICN for the KE JV. This is also one of the reasons Delta doesn’t have the proper aircraft for international growth, and why they keep get...

Re: Why hasn´t Delta expanded since the 747´s retirement?

The reasons are two fold: 1. Delta doesn’t have the aircraft for international expansion (not having the 787 hurts in this regard). In other words, DL hasn't expanded (to a.net's liking) because it doesn't have 787. Despite the fact that the 787-9 is comparable to the 359 that DL just deferred. And...

ATL is not only the busiest destination from MCO, but MCO is the busiest destination from ATL (the world’s busiest airport) and the route is dominated by well over a dozen Delta 757s daily, and the flights are always packed. In fact, ATL-MCO-ATL is Delta’s busiest route. IIRC, Delta is the second-l...

Data from Form 41 International by the DOT suggests the MCO/AMS city pair averaged a LF in the mid 80's. While LF isn't a complete measurement of a flights success, it speaks for itself with MCO being a regular out station. A lot of RJ routes were cut last winter. IND & BDL are 717's and RDU is...

My two cents: 1. Elimination of RJ services - that's been a common theme with DL throughout it's network. DL has been upgrading aircraft, especially the RJ200's. 2. Pulled DL flights for today (Tuesday): AMS - 1 ATL - 16 BOS - 3 CVG - 2 DTW - 6 IND - 1 LAX - 3 JFK - 4 LGA - 6 RDU - 3 SLC - 2 SEA - ...

Exactly. A D1 A321neo/LR subfleet makes complete sense in this context.

They could be used almost exclusively on JFK/BOS-LAX/SFO/SEA flights, as far as domestic transcons go.
