In fact the original plan was to base UK out of BOM but couldn't happen due to slots . After all when you are operating 3 class planes in domestic, BOM is always the best bet plus here you have lesser LCC competition (I mean fare competition . I just called up Air Canada call centre . They said that the flight (YYZ BOM) will become seasonal so it will run only during winter.
