Re: Skywest pursues Massena and Ogdensburg EAS

EAS to cities like these just seem like wasteful spending to me.

Re: WN's Next Schedule Extension Due Out Sept 27, 2018

I think these threads may need to be euthanized. It's been a long time since there was something even interesting enough to warrant a thread. ^^^^^^ THIS ^^^^^^^ This extension was the icing on the cake for these threads, WN isn't doing anything with their route network (outside of HI). Aren't they...

Re: STL air service discussion - 2018

Do you need tickets for the airshow up in Chesterfield or can you view it fine without tickets? I'm unsure if I can make it so I don't want to buy tickets if I don't have to. The last time I was there was a decade ago, but I'm sure you can buy tickets at the gate if you need to. Tickets sold online...

Nope. To me its on of the STL route maps biggest gaps.

IND, SLC, JAX, ORF and CLT. In my opinion.

C6-REX Is the former N284SK she wore lots of different colors when I flew her at Chautauqua. Glad to see she found a home.

Its a little strange Western would reregister it to the same tail number that had an accident. (Metroliner)

If I could only fly a leg in there and not get a runway or arrival change Id be more impressed :-)

On a side note, didnt they lose flights with Great Lakes shutting down? Or were those just transfered to others?

Re: Southwest Airlines Network Thread 2018

I saw a WN 737 with ETOPS on the nose gear door at MCO last week. Not sure if it was a 700 or 800. How many 737's have ETOPS certification. I believe only the 738’s have ETOPS, but someone please correct me if I’m wrong. There were 10 or so ETOPS birds since they were delivered. More being added. A...

Re: Southwest to acquire Hawaiian?

The difference is, HA uses them for a very specific capability that AT didn't. The 737 is incapable of doing what the 717 does in Hawaii? Serious question, I'm not sure what makes the 717 so special for those routes. The engines To run it the exact same way Hawaiian does yes could be an issue. But ...

Will WN be announcing additional nonstop routes out of HOU tomorrow? WN is still expanding both domestically and internationally at HOU, and WN could add nonstop service to CVG, CLE, DTW, MSP, and PUJ out of HOU. WN also could bring back HOU-LIT nonstop service in order to provide connectivity to i...

Re: Southwest Schedule Extension 6/28

Will WN ever add nonstop service to ATL from ABQ, CVG, OMA, PDX, SMF, or SJC? While most of WN's nonstop service out of ATL is to former FL destinations, WN still has opportunities to add nonstop service to additional destinations out of ATL. Ever is a long time. so sure. If I were WN though, I’d f...

STL still has some key gaps. STL.JAX/IND/CVG/SLC/ABQ and PBI. It would be nice to see STL get some more LUV. Maybe even CUN go back to daily too.
