West African is not the same as Africa West. The former still exists and operates 727-200s and A300 from Lome and Cotonou to various destinations including Lagos...

As someone else said, Africa West operated briefly from Dakar in the early 90s, to Paris, Brazil, and charters.

Would anyone have any information as to why Swiss has not resumed Lagos (Nigeria) service previously operated by Swissair? If I recall correctly, Lagos was the defunct airline's busiest West African market, with high yields as well due to the energy industry in Nigeria.
