Re: FG: How are the all-new Airbus (A350) and Boeing (787) widebodies faring?

I wouldn't mind knowing how the normalised hours per fleet are going. The A350 is enjoying over 99% reliability with all apart form a single EY A350 that has been delivered in service. There have been, and continues to be large numbers of 787s on the ground waiting for fixes. that's pretty much ent...

it's probably because the 787 is the smaller plane. the trend has been clear towards the smallest plane that can efficiently complete the route. being bigger has its challenges

Fingers crossed for Boeing; they could use some good news :) If Boeing wants good news, then I would suggest they start by getting their own house in order! i think people are prematurely thinking the 78J upgrade has killed the a350/77x. there's still a pretty big difference in those frames.

Re: EK launches unbundled Business: to charge for seat assignment, lounge, etc

AA's fleet is so diverse that those who take their 767 and older 777s say never again while those who take their 77W and 788s say its better than airline X. I've flown AA J on 757/767/772/787. the 757 is the only one that wasn't that good, but it was a domestic flight so I didn't mind. You're actua...

A joke right? Please say that is a joke. No, it's not a joke, and I agree with him.... I'd happily take AA's J on their 77W or 788 over EK's J offering on any of their aircraft. QR, no. Quite a lot of assumptions based on a comment from a single airline, but that is par for the course with you. If we believe the 787 vs A359 range thread in tech ops, then we see that the 789's fuel burn vs the A359 narrows/diminishes at longer ranges. The 78X will burn more fuel than the 789 (overa...
