I think they were mostly a DC-8 replacement when they first came into the fleet. So whatever routes the DC-8 was on probably got the 762.

Why not? DaimlerChrysler has a shuttle between STR and PTK; Novartis had twice-weekly shuttle between KMMU and LSZM. Execs want to move! I'm guessing Airbus has determined that it isn't necessary and would be a waste of money. Executives would not know if something was going wrong on an assembly li...

Payments for sim time is the least of Boeing's concerns right now. The Max will be back in revenue service. Some people claimed that wouldn't happen and the frames would be scrapped. But the biggest obstacle is now over. Getting the fleet updated and later adding a third sensor is the next milestone...

That was when the FO of the hijacked FedEx DC-10 put the plane in such unusual and extreme attitudes to subdue the hijacker. I think those maneuvers damaged the DC-10 to where it was unairworthy but the crew survived and so I'd say it was worth it. That airframe is still flying revenue service at F...

I do believe AA will be ordering more 787s to replace the 777 completely in the future, regardless. I agree that's a genui...

From what I was told by a pilot known for his sense of humor the difference between FBW Boeing and Airbus planes isn't too great.
