I liked flying non-rev into ITH when I was in college in the early 80s. Empire flew Metros to Utica, JFK, Islip and I think Syracuse. Don't remember if the F28s made it to Ithaca. I found DEN RDU and MCO for each PWM SYR and MDT.... SYR gets ORD too MDT-RDU is definitely interesting, hope them the best! MCO and DEN did well before so I see those routes working well again. Frontier has MDT listed as a destination on their site... I just checked their website and see nothing on their route map and Harrisburg isn’t listed in their drop down menu. MDT has a post on their Facebook page that there will be an announcement at 1000 today...4/4. The announcement mentions more low fares and more non-stops.

Any guesses?

ITH and ROA are shoe ins both because what they're asking for is reasonable and because they're asking for less in SCASD funds than they already have in community funds and because they're proposing network service. Fingers crossed for ITH. They have been trying for a few years to secure ORD service.

UA2527 was actually the first 777 to ever fly in/out of MDT. I’m pretty sure back in 2005 Orange Bowl there was a UA 772 in MDT at gate B5. Also there have been diversions. Over the years UA has diverted numerous 777's to MDT when the weather was bad at IAD. I remember having 3 777-200's on the car...

Very surprised UA is returning to ELM, considering they cut this at the same time they cut BGM as well. Good for ELM though. Good news for ITH. This was expected since Commutair had announced the retirement of the Dash 8's.

ITH will be all jet service now. DL to DTW, AA to PHL, and UA to EWR.

I know UA is only getting rid of the 300's right now, but the 200's won't last forever. I think cities like AVP and ITH will hurt when they eventually go. That is correct. After tomorrow (15 Feb) DL is the only airline serving BGM.

ITH is always an option with AA, UA, and DL. AA has made ITH their focus city for the ITH/ELM/BGM area.

I feel sorry for the taxpayers of New York who just donated $250,000 to promote an airport that can't afford to promote itself. Probably because it serves a town of 30,000 people and is 50 miles away from Syracuse. I do get a kick out of their idea that the airport generated $20 million for the loc...

More good news for ITH. The most interesting part of the article is the last paragraph where they mention a major announcement for the airport coming in the next few weeks. Yes, they do. The gates at the end of the B concourse are capable of handling a 747. Today, the aircraft was parked at B6. That gate is normally used by Allegiant.
