It's too bad they are building the Starbucks inside of security. I'll have to wait till October to experience it!!
Jump to postThe Tri-Motor was a great ride...especially in the right seat. I just wish it had been longer.
The majority of the B gates are unused during the day. The busiest time of the day for MDT is the morning rush...6am - 9am. Most aircraft are gone by 7am.
I took a ride on the EAA Ford Tri-Motor when it was at CXY a couple of weeks ago. I rode in the right seat seat which cost $100 for the 20 minute right...and it was worth every penny!!
If they come back next year...I'll do it again.
Wiw...DC9 service into MVY. That had to be interesting. I would love to have seen that.
Jump to postWest service is one of the areas the airport is working on. I believe daily service to MCO is #1 on the priority list. The Saturday only run by US is nice but they want something everyday. The addition of the Eagl...
Jump to postPHL is a zoo on a normal day. Now this...and the weather made for an interesting morning.
Jump to postI'll check on the dates for the airshow at LNS on Tuesday. I want to say it is the last weekend of August. From what I hear it is usually pretty good down there...even though it is a small airport.
Jump to postMDT would be a great addition to B6's system. It would be great to see the E190.
Jump to postNot a problem. Maybe we can enjoy posting a topic about a new airline serving MDT. F9 to <acronym title="OLD: Denver - Stapleton International (DEN / KDEN) (closed), USA - Colorad...
Jump to postThanks Steeler83. I've been using this site for years...and finally decided to join so I could post messages.
I'll keep you and 777DadandJr posted on the happenings at MDT since I work there everyday.
I'd take a Beech 1900 on that route any day. That is my favorite 19 seater.
Jump to postI don't think it was a C54...but I might be wrong. I'll ask when I go back to work on Tuesday.
Jump to postSorry...we don't open up the airplanes for tours. My suggestion would be to wait for the Lancaster Air Show. I believe it is scheduled around the end of August. We normally send an airplane down there for people to look at and now that they extended the runway at <acronym title="Lancaster (LNS / KLN...
Jump to postOur other J models have communication equipment in the back end and several extra antennas on the wings and tail. If you go Google and search on 'Commando Solo' you should see the difference in the airplanes.
Jump to postIf you come down the road past the cargo facility our gate guards will question you. I haven't heard of anyone getting hasseled if they stay by the cargo facility or bldg 208. I see plenty of people parked along the road when I go home at then end of the day. Our advance notice for the C-5 might be ...
Jump to postThat was one of our 'slick' J's at CXY. We do the Young Eagles event every year.
I've heard the same about the old terminal. Time will tell...
There is still no firm word on what will happen with the old passenger terminal. All but two of the jetways have been removed. They left two to build a US Customs facility and those jetways are on the southeast side closest to the new terminal. The new facility is fantastic...but it is depressing fl...
Jump to postParking near the cargo facility or building 208 will probably give you the best place to spot. You'll get a good view of the cargo ramp, part of the B and all of the C concourse of the terminal and the Air National Guard ramp. The C-5's have been coming to MDT a lot more...but then we (ANG side) get...
Jump to postFL was three days from announcing MDT when they pulled the plug and announced HPN instead.

Jump to postLets hope this is the beginning of a lot of new service for MDT. It is too bad that Air Tran backed out earlier this year. They could have been the boost that MDT needs.
